Communicating Absence Due to Sickness and Leave of Absence Requests:

To inform the School of absence due to sickness, please phone the Reception Office (01727 855521) on the morning of the first day and subsequent days of your child's absence, preferably before 8.30am. Please also email your child's Tutor to inform them of the absence. On returning to School, please provide your child with a note to give to their Tutor, confirming their dates of absence and the reason for it. This can also be sent by email.

For planned absences (e.g. for a special family event or a driving test) please send your request together with an explanation of the reason for it to the Headmaster by email to LOA@st-albans.herts.sch.uk. Requests should be submitted as far in advance as possible and our agreement should be sought before any commitments are made.

Pastoral and Academic contact:

If a parent would like to contact the school regarding their son or daughter’s progress, either pastorally or academically, then please email your child’s form tutor in the first instance. Contact email addresses for tutors are available on the School app.
