Learning Support Department
St Albans School recognises that pupils who have been selected on academic criteria can sometimes experience a range of challenges.
The School has a Learning Support Department, staffed by qualified Specialist and Learning Support teachers. While some pupils will enter the school with previously diagnosed specific learning difficulties (SpLDs), others may only be identified as the requirements of academic work mount.
The Department provides short term support in the form of skills and strategies for learning for any pupil requiring specialist assistance. If longer term assistance is required, specialist support can be arranged within the School at an additional cost.
